The reality is if he was given a chance to live there he would bite their hand off tomorrow morning and you wouldnt see him for dust, sadly...also reality is that he never will get that chance, and he has indeed researched all the possible ways but he knows that there are so many factors working against him to be able to do it, the current one will be if he gets a degree he thinks that will open doors to him...sorry Ross ol mate..too old...too late...no chance. They have all been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing by the Crown Prosecution but some still face disciplinary charges. The review will be headed by the former chief constable of Hampshire Police Sir John Hoddinott, who spent 20 years with the Metropolitan Police and later chaired a number of committees aimed at rooting out police corruption. The Home Office spokesman admitted that Mr Straw had not closed the door on hopes of a full public inquiry into the handling of the affair. But he insisted the move revealed today is part of a wide-ranging review of complaints procedures, sparked by the handling of the case of murdered black teenager Stephen Lawrence. And the spokesman denied Lancet was being held up as an example of how NOT to investigate allegations of police wrongdoing. We are developing a new independent procedure for dealing with complaints against the police, he said. As Lancet was one of the longest and most complex investigations, it would only be sensible to consider whether there are any lessons to be learned from it. But it is simply concerned with the operational side. It is in no way calling into question the conclusions of the investigation. However, the spokesman also confirmed that a further probe into the entire Lancet fiasco could be on its way. We are considering whether a review might be appropriate, he said. A MAJOR review of Operation Lancet has been ordered by Home Secretary Jack Straw a move which could be the first step towards a full public inquiry.
