Extradition: Brian Howes Diary 24th Jan 08
The Extradition hearing begins in Edinburgh on Monday the 28th January 2008 in sheriff’s court and runs the whole week. If being innocent of the crime is not enough how are innocent people going to have their civil rights protected? I have spoken to Liberty International and also Justice and they are completely against the 2003 Extradition Act since it takes away the safeguards of being extradited without evidence. ITV will be there trying to get a good story for Cleveland Police the justice minister will be watching from afar and who knows there might be justice at the end of this nightmare yet. Just think about it for a moment extradition and remand without evidence a known criminal has more rights than that.
